Whilst in that post, she joined forces with five women to plan and organise the first Women and New Technology Training day that took place at the Riverdale centre in the early 1980s. As a child Fanalia was mesmerised by the stories told to her and her brothers and sisters by her mother and aunts. When she retired, encouraged by her children, she began to write a novel.#

"I enjoyed putting my thoughts on paper," she says, "and I hope the readers will have as much fun reading my book."

This story is based on the lives of two men who became firm friends from childhood. Their friendship began during their school days, during the time of the emergence of the Welfare State when capitalism was the pillar of British society.

At the beginning of the story, the teller changes his name and the name of his friends and family to protect their identity. He, Jeremy Maxted, and Laurence Marshall who was the son of a wealthy landowner with properties and businesses, which amounted to vast wealth.

Jeremy's family, were poor, having to survive the economic threats which had blighted most of Britain. Jeremy and Laurence interacted constantly, and the two men fought in the First World War. After the War, Jeremy became one of Laurence Marshall's employee. Jeremy's work sees him living life settled in Italy, and Laurence visited him continuously, whilst he was living there, from time to time.

Laurence married an Italian countess, Sophia De' La'Prosser, but the marriage ended in grief. Jeremy's wife, Tagrapha and the mother of his twin boys, embarked on an affair with a bronzed adorns, an Italian by the name of Marcell Marlone. When Jeremy discovered the affair; he tormented himself that he must make everything right took the life of his rival. He confides in Laurence, who with the help of a crocked detective manages to stay one step ahead of the police.

However, unknown to Jeremy, Marcell Marlone was the son of a wealthy Italian noble family, whom will stop at nothing until they find the killer of their son and heir. Not even Laurence's vast fortune can bring this story to a happy conclusion for both families.
