I.P. Taylor lives near York. He is co-director of a film production company – see www.forgefilmsltd.com - and is currently involved in raising finance for a number of film projects. He is also completing work on a novel.

Jack of Hearts is a selection of what I.P. Taylor considers to be his best poems from the past 37 years. The collection represents a cross-section of the subjects and themes that have preoccupied him over almost four decades. There are portraits of eccentric characters, historical narratives, political statements, evocations of special places, reflections on the natural world and a few existentialist pieces.

Many of the poems have been published in literary journals and individual collections, but there are a number of pieces that have never been published and that appear here for the first time.
