The Spanish Connection by Martin Selwood
Keydell Press (ISBN 978-0956222305) £8.50 Nigel Collins has just returned from a short holiday in Spain in his brand new BMW. He is held up in a long traffic queue due to an accident. While waiting, he walks ahead to talk to an old friend and to while away the time they look through some photographs. Once the traffic starts moving, Nigel walks back to his car, but it isn't there. He flags down an old Mini, asking the driver, a young lady, for a lift, which she reluctantly gives him, taking him to the nearest Police station. After registering his loss, the Police suggest a Hotel for him to stay, the Forest Hotel, where to his surprise he finds that the young lady who gave him a lift lives, while on holiday, with her parents, who own the Hotel. She works as a social worker in the Portsmouth area and has a step sister who in contrast to herself is very flighty. They join Nigel in trying to get information about the whereabouts of his missing car, enduring many adventures while doing so. Available from 41, Keydell Avenue, Waterlooville, Hants. PO8 9TD. Postage is £2.50, or from Gardners Books of Eastbourne, or from Bertrams of Norwich. |
